Not only are my dogs active (Jack Russells) but they also participate in canine sports, including Agility. I originally created these coats and body suits for my own dogs. Whenever we competed, my dogs would have to sit in a crate while waiting for their turn to run. Sometimes it would be very cold outside (most events around here are either outdoors or in an open barn). Even though I protected them with crate covers and warm beds, their muscles would be cold. To avoid injury, I have them wear a body suit of some sort before and after a hard run. Just like athletes on the track, so do our athletic dogs need protection from the elements.

If your dog is an indoor dog, he might not have developed a full winter coat, thus when outside he will feel the cold. We need to protect them. This also applies to dogs that have been shaved. A warm dog fleece coat can make all the difference.

How does it work?

The 100% polyester velour construction creates air pockets that trap air and retain body heat. Unlike less expensive fleece fabrics, your dog will not overheat during active playing or just laying around the house, thus offering comfort and style.
